As a Content Designer within PNC’s mobile application team, you will be responsible for creating content for a world-class digital experience. You will work closely with product managers and experience designers to write content for best-in-class digital experiences. You will need to collaborate well with many teams across the enterprise and be comfortable facilitating, sharing, and defending recommendations. You will be responsible for the content development cycle, which includes reviews and approvals from legal, risk, and customer advocacy partners.
Qualified candidates will be self-starters who are excellent communicators that love language and feel passionate about things like voice, style, and grammar.
- As a part of the digital product development process, create content for digital experiences. Collaborate with experience designers, agile development teams, and core product team members. Deliver an engaging, consistent, and accessible experience to our audiences.
- Create content and consult on voice, style, and grammar. Collaborate with other Content Designers and Experience Designers to apply your writing skills to an established product.
- Identify problems and craft creative content solutions that educate and empower users.
- Socialize & suggest changes to content guidelines that provide consistent language and labeling across a range of touchpoints.
- Conduct user research; creating test plans, interview guides, test scripts, and analysis documents.
- Shape the role of content in the digital product development process and work alongside product managers for legal, risk, and compliance reviews.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic – Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Product Development Life Cycle – Knowledge of and the ability to develop products and bring them into the marketplace.
User Experience Design – Knowledge of user experience design tools, techniques and approaches; ability to design applications that are valued, positively perceived and used by clients.
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
Additional Job Description
Base Salary: $45,000.00 – $143,750.00 USD Annual
Where a person is paid in the compensation range is aligned to their experience and skills. Placement within the compensation range is based on the specific role and the following factors:
Lower in range – Building skills and experience in the job
Within the range – Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
Higher in range – Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
